Directions

  1. Blend flour with butter, lemon rind, sugar and egg yolk.
  2. Form into small balls.
  3. Dip in slightly beaten egg white.
  4. Roll in grated nuts.
  5. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  6. Poke holes in center of each cookie and place cherry in centers or fill with thick jam.
  7. Bake in 375 degree F. oven until just lightly browned around edges, about 10-12 minutes.
  8. Makes 30 cookies.
