  • Cook bacon, reserve drippings.
  • Saute green onions and garlic in drippings until tender.
  • Add the potatoes, bullion, water, salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Simmer, covered for 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  • Whisk together milk, flour and parsley.
  • Stir into potato mixture.
  • Cook until thick.
  • Add bacon and serve.

  1. Made this pretty much as written but did cut the amount of salt back to 1/8 teaspoon since there was enough for us in the bacon & bouillon ~ Very nice tasting chowder, & this is a recipe that I'll keep on hand! Thanks for sharing it! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Healthy Choices ABC tag
