Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, and liquid
  • 12 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 slices thin sliced white bread or 12 slices whole wheat bread
  • Sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can light sour cream
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup (reduced fat or sodium can be used)

Directions

  1. Cut crusts from 12 slices of bread. Butter one side of each piece of bread.
  2. Place 6 slices of the bread, buttered side down on a cookie sheet.
  3. Mix first 4 ingredients and spread evenly on the 6 slices.
  4. Top each slice with the remain slices of bread.
  5. Combine sour cream with soup mix. "ice" the 6 sandwiches on top and down the sides with the mixture.
  6. Refrigerate over night, or at least 5 hours in the refrigerator.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika.
  8. Bake at 325, for 35 minutes.
