  1. In a large skillet, saute the mushrooms, onions and beef strips in the butter. Add 2/3 cup of the beef broth, ketchup garlic and salt. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. In a small bowl combine the cornstarch and 1/3 cup beef broth then add to the skillet. Cook and stir until the sauce thickens. Turn off the heat and add the sour cream. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes.
