  1. Thanks Dancer, I have only recently discovered Chai tea and this one tastes great and used ingredients I already had. I had this hot and cold and it was delicious both ways. I used 1% fat milk. Will make this again!

  2. This was very warm and comforting! I used vanilla soy milk in place of the milk, and it turned out great. I will definitely play with the ingredients, though, because it didn't taste quite like a real chai to me. I think I might try taking out the nutmeg and using cloves and cardomom instead. Still, this was delicious, and I can't wait to try it again... especially as a smoothie! Update: I've made this again using cloves in place of the nutmeg, and personally I thought it was much better!

  3. I had this as a cold smoothie although it was more like a cold chai latte since my ice cubes weren't completely frozen. I had to add a lot more honey to make it sweet enough. The spices were hard to detect but I still enjoyed it over more ice. 4 stars for how I changed it but still I wouldn't call it Indian chai just cold tea latte. I used allspice in a lesser amount in place of nutmeg because we do not consume intoxicants and homemade almond milk to be lactose free.

  4. This was missing the richness in flavors that I'm used to...not sure if its the difference in spices as noted by another review or what since this is my first homemade chai. I tasted it in pan as original recipe and deffinately knew I needed something more...so I added some clove as noted by another review and I also added some vanilla. Better but still not "rich & creamy"...I'll keep looking.
