Insanely Delicious Spicy Grilled Shrimp!

"This is a recipe that I snagged from AllRecipes, however, I changed it up and we LOVE our version!! This is slightly too spicy for little ones (although mine will eat it if I don't continue to baste the marinade as I grill them). This will tickle your tastebuds and leave you BEGGING for more. DH and I declare this our favorite shrimp dish EVER! Hope you agree..."

  • Preheat grill on high heat.
  • Whisk together everything but the shrimp and skewers. Set aside 1/3 of the marinade to use for basting while grilling.
  • Place the shrimp in a large ziploc bag and pour the remaining marinade over them. Seal and marinate for 2 hours.
  • Thread shrimp on skewers, piercing one near the tail and one near the head. Discard marinade.
  • Lightly oil grate. Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until opaque, basting frequently with reserved marinade.

  1. I just finished eating this and all I have to say is Mmmm this is sooo good! I halved the recipe and grilled the shrimp in my George Foreman grill because I didn't have skewers. I only marinated for about an hour in the fridge. I didn't even need to baste with the extra marinade. The shrimp went perfect over my salad. I might add some red chili pepper flakes next time to increase the heat, but otherwise wouldn't change a thing.

  2. This IS insanely delicious and easy as well. I used 16-20 count shrimp and it was perfect. We ate it all and if we had more we would have eaten that as well! This marinade would probably be great on a chicken kabob also.

I love to try new recipes and often try so many new recipes that I forget about all the great ones I've already made. My focus in cooking is to cook healthy and lower in fat without compromising the taste of the food.
