Irene's Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

"We had a potluck at work and I tasted this incredible salad. The ingredients blend so well together it's a party on your tongue. This is my favorite salad. This recipe was shared with me by Irene, my coworker. Salad needs to be chilled which is included in cook time."

  1. Absolutely delicious....and gets better with age....the craisins add that sweet/tartness to the recipe that makes it unique...yum..yum...

  2. Quite a tasty salad! I used crasins and cut the recipe in half but other wise followed it. Made for Zaar Cookbook Tag.

  3. Delicious salad and very simple to throw together. I used the Craisins and it was fantastic.

  4. Delicious! Left out the celery (personal preference) and the bacon (to accomodate the vegetarian in the house); didn't miss either of them! The yellow raisins are great in here--in-laws & fiancee loved this one.

  5. What a great combination of flavors! Also a great way to sneak in those veggies. Will certainly keep this on file. Thanks, Dawn.

I?m ?originally from Texas, but now live in Florida. Still gotta have that spice though....love chipotle peppers, habaneros, and jalapenos. This is a picture of myself & my 2 daughters taken in Dec'06. I am working on my graduate degree, & still work as a nurse prn. When I'm not cooking and eating what I cook... I head for the gym to work out. As far as cookbooks, I love the church/ community cookbooks, where someone has dug out old handwritten recipes by granny and shared them with others-those are the best kind. If I had a month off, I'd for sure go hiking, would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.?
