ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄8 cup margarine
- 1 cup buttermilk or 1 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
directions
- Sift flours into bowl with soda and salt.
- Rub in margarine.
- Make a well in centre and add buttermilk.
- Knead til smooth and free from stickiness.
- Form into loaves.
- Make a cut across each.
- Bake 325F 40 mins.
