  • Combine bay leaf, water, wine vinegar in medium saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Either add vegetables to the water and simmer until vegetables are tender.
  • OR
  • Place vegetables in a steamer basket, cover, and steam vegetables until tender.
  • If you simmer, drain, remove bay leaf.
  • Add salt and pepper.
