- 16 large cucumbers
- 8 large onions
- 3 tablespoons pickling salt

Brine
- 3 cups vinegar
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
- 6 tablespoons flour
directions
- Peel and slice the cucumbers and the onions. Sprinkle with the 3 tablespoons pickling salt and let stand overnight. Drain in the morning.
- Boil together the brine ingredients until they are thickened. Pour over pickles. Boil 15 minutes or more. Put into hot sterile jars.
