Italian Chicken Burgers

"Tasty chicken burgers. Great on the grill. Can be pan fried or even baked (for those winter nights when it's too cold to grill outside!)"

  1. These are so good! They are actually better than good--they are fantastic! I used fresh grated Parmesan and dried, minced garlic and followed everything else to a T. I think you could make a low-carb chicken Parmesan by using a marinara sauce and a bit of mozzarella on top. C & D's Mom, thank you for a wonderful recipe. This is a keeper!

  2. Delicious burger. I followed the recipe exactly and the result was very good. I grilled them in my grill pan. Served them with some sauteed mushrooms. :)

  3. Very good. I was a little concerned at first that the mix of spices would be overpowering. It wasn't this combination worked well. I served this with Cauliflower "mashed potatos" for a very low-carb and very satisfying meal.

  4. Wow! This was my first attempt at a turkey burger & I was SO nervous because this is a new recipe so I had no previous advice to go on! But it was a success! I cut the reicpe in half, used 1/8 tsp garlic salt for the garlic cloves, & didn't use the seasoning salt. I also left out the mozz cheese, preferring to top the burger with a slice of swiss cheese instead. Cooked them on my George Foreman & used a little bit of light Miracle Whip for topping. The italian seasonings give the turkey taste a nice zing. I was afraid these would fall apart without any breadcrumbs but it worked fine. Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm a mom and I love to cook. Started cooking when I was 20, and found I love to do it! I love to experiment with new stuff all the time, and I hate prepackaged foods and recipes that use them, so I always try to figure out the ingredients on my own to copy a recipe. I just don't think that opening a can of baked beans and adding something to it makes for homemade beans!!) My husband had a heart attack last year at the age of 39! So now, we try to eat a lot healthier. I am always looking for ways to get more veggies into him. In my recipes, I never add salt, but I post it here cuz I know most people still like the taste. It takes a while, but you get over it when you cut it out of your cooking. We don't even have a salt shaker anymore. Poor guests! I love that when I post something here, I can see the nutritional breakdown so I know what he can and can't have. I've printed all kinds of recipes that I've found here and made up a heart friendly cookbook for us.
