ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 lb bulk pork sausage

FOR THE SAUCE
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1⁄2 cup beef broth
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
directions
- Make meatballs by combining eggs, and milk, add breadcrumbs, cheese and seasoning then add the meats.
- Mixwell, and shape into 1 inch balls, broil or saute until brown, and put into slow cooker.
- Combine sauce ingredients, and pour over meatballs.
- Cover, and cook 4-6 hours.
- Serve on rolls with creamy red potatoes, salad, or dessert.

I am the cook today for Superbowl... This Italian Meatball Sub recipe is absolutely EXCELLENT.. being the cook I of course have to taste it before I serve... I am in the kitchen totally enjoying the meatballs... I do have one suggestion... saute the onions and bell peppers first... I personally do not like the crunch of raw onions or bell pepper.. Thank you so much "Weekend Cooker" keep them coming ! :) .. love this !! and thank you person who asked Hi or Low for the crock pot... companies here... I better stop tasting them now .. !
