  1. In a large Dutch oven, brown sausage over medium heat; drain.
  2. Add in water, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil; lower heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until sausage is not pink and vegetables are tender.
  4. Add ketchup, green pepper, and parsley.
  5. Cook an additional 12-15 minutes or until pepper is tender.
  6. Throw out bay leaf.
  7. Mix together cornstarch and cold water; blend until smooth; stir into stew.
  8. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
