"I cut this out of a magazine years ago. They are delicious. You sauce is outstanding. I have used both Italian sausage and fresh garlic sausage. Both were very good."

  • Turn on oven to 350 degrees.
  • Bake sausage for 1 hour.
  • Cut into 8 or 10 pieces.
  • Saute onion in 3 tablespoon of oil until light brown.
  • add peppers and cook.
  • stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle remaining oil on peppers.
  • while turning.
  • Mix ketchup and water.
  • add to peppers, mixing well.
  • add salt and pepper.
  • cover and simmer for 20 minutes or.
  • until peppers are tender.
  • add sausage to peppers.
  • serve on warm Italian rolls.
