It's A Mild Chili!

"Steam does not come out of your ears! Your sinuses do not open in a flood! (just a little clearing :)) And say goodbye to Heartburn! It's a definite comfort food for a cold Autumn or Winter's day. It's the chili recipe I grew up with. I know many think the spicier the better. I guess I'm just not one of those people. Too much spice and I reach for Tums :( BTW In my opinion, the V-8 juice is the better choice."

  1. I tried this recipe and it was very good and easy to make!! I used one can on chili beans (mild) and one can of kidney beans. I had gall bladder surgery and the doctor said to stay away for grease, fats and spices and I was so tired of chicken that I thought I would try this and it was great!! It did not upset me at all!! When I had left overs I fixed some pasta and put the chili over it and it was very good too!! Thanks for the recipe Kris!!!!

  2. This chili was really easy to make and tasted good. I made a few changes to it due to available ingredients. Instead of V8 juice I used one small can of tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water. I added about 1/8th teaspoon of Mexican Chili Powder and used diced tomatoes with chilies instead of diced tomatoes. My husband liked it too.

I cook for fun (mostly because I don't have to cook every day) and am always on the lookout for interesting recipes. I also do some canning. Hobbies include jewelry making, drawing, and reading. I detest housework - but it gets done - eventually. I also detest car maintenance - that gets done immediately.
