  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Stir in one ingredient at a time. Sounds silly, but it is very important!
  • Bake for 40 minutes.

  1. First brownies in Israel! As-is, I was immediately suspicious that these wouldn't have enough chocolate. Checking with similar recipes, I bumped the cocoa up almost to half a cup, which was just right. Everything else, I kept the same. Probably baked hotter than directed (using a toaster oven which is very imprecise), just until the top crust had "set" (about 20 minutes) and then it was perfectly done and just a little gooey inside. Yum!

<p>I was born in Southern Arizona with a taste for spice. Keeping kosher in Arizona was a challenge, so I had to eat at home a lot which meant I needed to experiment to have a variety of food available.
