directions

  • Put your water in the kettle and boil.
  • While your water is boiling, put your sugar, vanilla, and blue food colouring in the cup. About 8-10 drops will make a very vibrant blue. [Add more or less, to make the colouring of your choosing]; Stir. The sugar will get a little clumpy, but that's okay. It's going to get wet soon any ways.
  • When the kettle goes off [or your water boils], turn your water off; pour the instant coffee in with the blue sugar, [stir or don't stir; your choice].
  • Pour the hot water 2/3 of the way full [or a little less if you like a lot of milk.] Stir the coffee, sugar, and water together before adding the milk. It should look like brown muddy water with a ring of blue around the top edges of the cup(if using a white mug).
  • Pour the desired amount of milk in; stir. [remember, the more milk you use, the lighter the colour of jade coffee].
  • Warning: Your tongue and teeth will turn blue-ish after drinking!
