ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen white bread dough (thawed)
  • 1 (8 3/4 ounce) can whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) can whole jalapenos (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (2 ounce) jar chopped pimientos (, drained)
  • 1 12 teaspoons vinegar

directions

  • Cut bread dough into 1" cubes.
  • Place all ingredients in a large bowl& toss to coat well.
  • Spoon into two loaf pans that have been coated with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cover& let stand for 15 minutes.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
  • Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack.
  • Serve warm.

  1. I made hamburger buns with your recipe and changed a few ingredients - I left out the corn, egg and vinegar and added a small tin of sliced olives. Used 3 lbs of frozen bread dough. I kneaded in the condiments shaped 14 large buns and baked in 350F for about 30 minutes. Next time I will add some minced garlic and sprinkle the top with cheddar. These are very, very, good Thank you Kelly

  3. This bread was fabulous! I love Jalapenos anyway, and love to use them in everything. Very easy to make and great with just about anything.
     
  4. this is spicy yummy & the whole house smelled wonderful as these loaves were baking! i opted out of the corn, but did add approx 1 c shredded cheddar cheese. i also used "cowboy candy" # 101698 as they were in the fridge ready to use!!
     
  5. My house smells devine :) I halfed the recipe and added some small cubed sharp cheddar cheese. Otherwise I made no changes..oops I had no eggs and used 1/8 cup eggbeaters. It is so beautiful as well. Made for "Fun Food Photo" Queen uh Cuisine Thanks KeeWee !!!!!!!!

Can't believe I've been a member here for 18 years! It's changed a lot since the old RecipeZaar days and maybe or maybe not for the better. It used to be a community and now it's just a tool. Sad, but life goes on. I have been in Kentucky for 12 years now and enjoy the country lifestyle, along with master gardening. Recipes I've found here since Day One are still in my rotation. Don't entertain that much anymore, so finding new and exciting foods is no longer center stage. Just glad to have so many good recipes to fall back on because eating out is expensive and sometimes too far to drive.
