  2. Add butter and mix until combined.
  3. Set aside 1/3 of the mixture and press the rest into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  4. Spread jam over the base.
  5. Mix the almonds and chocolate chips into the reserved crumb mixture and sprinkle it over the jam layer, pressing down lightly.
  6. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
