directions

  • line a pan with oiled baking paper.
  • cut the strawberries into fine slices.
  • place one sheet pastry on pan on oiled baking paper.
  • cut other sheet into 3 cm slices along the entire length of sheet.
  • mix egg with milk in a cup or glass disk.
  • brush pastry edges and build an edge using cut strips.
  • egg wash edges in between.
  • prick uncovered part of sheet with fork and place in 140 degree oven for 20 minutes to part cook - until it looks light golden - not fully cooked.
  • heat jam in mug in microwave for 40 seconds.
  • brush jam into pastry sheet covering all of the central part.
  • place strawberries side by side on the middle part until all is covered.
  • brush edges with egg wash and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on edges.
  • place in oven for 20-30 minutes.
  • When golden take out and let cool.
  • serve with a dollop of cream.
