Jumbo Snap Cookies

"These are absolutely incredible. If you have never tried them, you should! They are my favorite cookie, but I don't make it too often due to the 'extra' things, like melting chips and rolling in powdered sugar. Note: If you substitute all butter for the shortening, the cookies will still taste great, but they'll be too flat; and it's hard to keep the center chewy if they're so flat."

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Mix the flour & baking powder and set aside.
  • Cream the sugar, shortening, and salt.
  • Then beat the eggs and coconut flavoring into the sugar mixture.
  • Now, add the flour mixture.
  • Finally, add the melted chips into dough.
  • Mix well. Shape into balls with a teaspoon. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes.
