  1. This is a new holiday tradition at my house!!! Even tried a "lower" calorie version, using margarine and fat-free evaporated milk--still magnificent!

  2. Excellent!

  3. I think I missed something when reading the recipe...the filling made enough for two pies. Not realizing this, I doubled the recipe, so I had enough for FOUR pies but only two crusts. Lots of ingredients and money wasted.

  4. I love pecan pie..But,didnt care for the strong flavor of kahula..

  5. I made this years ago but lost the recipe,I went to the khalua website and found it.I was going to post it but found it already here.It really is a good pie, rich and tasty.Perfect for the holidays.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
