  • Cream shortening in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
  • Add sugar slowly and continue creaming until well blended.
  • Add salt, vanilla, and whipping cream.
  • Mix on low speed until moistened.
  • Mix on high speed until frosting is fluffy.

  1. I used this to ice a cake, it has a very good flavor too it. It was too soft to decorate with I thought but Im sure adding a bit more sugar to it would help to stiffen. Despite the whipping cream being perishable it does not have to be refrigerated! I thought it would. Great recipe thx!
