Kicked-Up Store-Bought Whole Deli Chicken

"If you are looking for a way to kick up a plain whole roasted deli chicken, then this is it! The sauce takes minutes to prepare, just brush over the chicken and bake for 15 minutes. This makes a wonderful quick and easy weekday meal, double the sauce for 2 chickens. The 15 minute cooking time is for a warm or almost room-temperature fully cooked whole deli chicken. This is delicious!"

  1. Wow! What a great way to kick up deli chicken...simple easy and full of flavor... added some hot sauce to recipe since hubby loves things hot... outstanding!!!

  2. I really loved the skin topped with the glaze, my chicken was just a little dry after cooking, I may have left it a little long & I have a fan-forced oven so will be more watchful next time.

  3. This was a delicious change from the same-old store bought rotisserie chicken. I made the glaze and tasted it - wasn't crazy about it on it's own. But when you taste it baked on the chicken, it's delicious! I really didn't taste much heat from the hot sauce (I used tabasco), so if someone likes it spicier, you might double that to 1 teaspoon. I also baked mine for 20 minutes instead of 15. Thanks Kittencal!

  4. A super easy way to add variety to plain chicken. My family really enjoyed this and we loved the garlic apricot flavour. Thanks, Kitten!

  5. Wow! Is this delicous. I haven't been this excited about a chicken recipe in a long time. :) I followed the recipe exactly, including the garlic. I had enough glaze leftover to serve some on the side of each plate. This was so good that I even ate the dark meat of the chicken, which I normally don't do. Thanks for posting it, Kittencal.
