directions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350*F.
  • 2. Spread marinara sauce on the pieces of matzo. Sprinkle garlic salt and oregano over the tomato sauce. Cover with cheese, tomato slices, and olives. Place pizzas on cookie sheets.
  • 3. Bake for 5 minutes at 350*F., or until cheese has melted.
  • My Note: Each kid makes their own. Make sure not to buy the thin crackers because the sauce will make it too soggy. REALLY easy and a quick alternative to regular pizza. My greatgrand son is a 7 Year Old and especially like doing it with me.
  • I put green peppers and black olives on mine and it was really filling! Adding extra cheese on top of the veggies makes it extra tasty. I had to bake it about 8-10 minutes (or 12 when baking 2 at a time). My one suggestion: put a layer of sauce on the bottom of the cookie sheets, to keep the matza from sticking and to prevent the need for greasing the sheets with butter.
  • I have used alfredo sauce for a little extra kick, and it worked just as well as the marinara.
  • This is a great recipe even for adults! Older kid's came home looking for a quick snack I handed tham the recipe and had loads of fun finding all sorts of things to put on the matzo. We loved it so much it turned into dinner! It's quick and easy, just find some leftovers from the frig and open a jar of sauce. Use your imagination when it comes to toppings the kid's do. It is for the kid's to see and how to do a recipe for fun for fun. This clearly proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks! We all do Have fun! Getting your kids in the kitchen is a great way to spend time With your kids. Cooking with kids is a wonderful adventure. We would love to hear any improvements and/or variations you make to this simple recipe. Enjoy!
