  1. Kid's Fav is right! It's great and a classic, never met a kid yet who didn't like it. When my kids were kids we made this and called it Hamburger Surprise 'cause the veggie was whatever was handy. Now they are having this for supper with their kids; so good things last forever. Thanks for the memories!

  2. Followed directions exactly; no changes. Kids, 4 and 6, (and adults) both liked it. Nearly all had seconds. I agree with the previous reviewer that the chili sauce is the "secret" ingredient.

  3. Not just for kids! Adults will enjoy as well. However, next time I think I will double the batch of mashed potatoes. Yum!!

  4. I can see why it's the kids' favorite recipe. Delicious fresh out of the oven, and as leftovers. Served with cornbread muffins...yum!

  5. Sharlene, thank you! I made this for my kids last night, and I don't have any leftovers! Excellent! So easy! Honestly, the chili sauce, in my opinion, made the difference in the taste. Surprisingly tasty! This is a new "keeper" in my house! Thanks again...Stacy :)

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
