Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel to drain.
  2. Discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings; cook kielbasa in drippings until lightly browned. Drain.
  3. Add onion, red pepper, beans,broth and pepper.
  4. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Crumble bacon on top.
  6. Yield: 6 servings.
