  1. Saute onions, jalopeno in butter.
  2. When the onions are caramelized add garlic, saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add undrained sauerkraut, sugar, celery seed and bay leaf.
  4. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour.
  5. Add meat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix all of the sauce ingredients together.
  7. Put buns in the oven to toast.
  8. Open bun. Spread sauce on the bun.
  9. Add bratwurst and top with sauerkraut.
