directions

  • Split the pita rounds to make 10 rounds.
  • Set oven to 400 degrees F (set oven rack to lowest position).
  • In a small bowl stir the oil with the fresh garlic (or garlic powder) brush lightly over both sides of the rounds.
  • Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Slice each round into 6 wedges (I use a pizza cutter for this) then place on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for about 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp (watch closely these brown fast).

  2. Great, easy. I love finding your recipes when I'm searching for something, I always know they will be good. Thanks again.

  3. OH MY! OH MY! Another winner here! Talk about habit forming. I used herbed pita rounds, garlic powder, olive oil and pepper. Also added some parmesan on top. Tastes almost like pizza crust. Thanks for another incredible recipe, Kitten!

  4. These were really great! I followed the directions and recipe perfectly, but halved the recipe "just in case"; I wish I hadn't! I added a generous helping of rosemary to the garlic, salt, pepper, and olive mix, and sprinkled the chips with more rosemary before baking and the taste was phenomenal! They were a big hit here, and will definitely be made again. I highly recommend adding rosemary to the recipe, and when deciding where to put the "spread", the rougher side of the pita tastes best, I think. Fabulous recipe!

  5. As usual, a great recipe.!!! Used up some homemade pita bread. Added a little pretzel salt to them! EXCELLENT!

Tweaks

  1. They ARE highly addictive and very crunchy! I used whole wheat pita bread and olive oil instead of butter. Grated some parmesan and they just couldn't be better! Thanks!
