Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (18 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 13 cup evaporated milk, plus
  • 12 cup evaporated milk, divided
  • 12 cup melted butter
  • 60 vanilla caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Combine cake mix, nuts, 1/3 c milk and butter.
  2. Press half of the batter into a greased 13x9 pan.
  3. Bake 350 for 8 minutes.
  4. In microwave melt caramels with 1/2 c milk - mix well.
  5. Pour melted caramels over baked layer.
  6. Cover the caramel layer with chocolate chips.
  7. Pour remaining cake batter on top.
  8. Bake 18 minutes (or less for gooier brownies).
  9. Let cool and cut.
