  1. This spinach dip is a HUGE favorite. It'll be at our Christmas gathering this year in recipe# 131168- Spinach Dip Pinwheels. What a great idea! I already purchased spinach tortillas in a festive shade of green. I think I'll roll them up then wrap & chill them before slicing- maybe the dip will firm up a bit and allow for easier cutting. It's delicious in a bread bowl as well, mainly pumperknickel or King's Hawaiian. Last season we served it that way on a large gold platter, surrounded by red, green, & white veggies (peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, cherry or grape tomatoes, celery, etc.) & some people thought it was catered! Your bread bowl will likely be devoured too- as long as there's any dip left, that is. Now, since I've already bought the ingredients, can I resist making & eating it before X-mas?

  2. THE Classic; however the soup mix is like 3 oz., not 8 ounces. Hate to nit pick, but it is the classic and there's no need to confuse the only person in the world who has not made it before.

  3. have used this recipe for eons. it is not Cmas without it. to serve this dip, i purchase a whole round pumpernickel bread. hollow out the center and cut into cubes. pour the spinach dip into the bread, then place the cubes around the loaf and guests just dip the cubes into the dip. once the cubes are gone, guests just start breaking the bread off and dipping. there are no leftovers.

  4. I bring this dip to parties all of the time and it's a big hit. I use the Knorr's Leek soup mix instead. Try this instead of the vegetable soup mix. It's great with wheat thins or sliced baquettes.

  5. This was probably the first dip I ever made!!! Always good!

Tweaks

  1. Are you sure that it wasn't meant to use Knorr (1.4oz) package of veggie mix? I did and it was great. Also It was left out of the directions, that the fresh spinach needs to be cooked first. I love it on Ritz bacon flavor crackers

  2. Everyone says my Spinach dip is the best they have ever had. I simply delete the mayo. Squeezing out every last drop of water out the spinach with paper towels is also a huge plus.

  3. see above.

  4. This is very good, although I prefer using the knorr Leek soup mix instead of the Vegetable kind. It orks better in my opion, and is a lot less chunky.
