  1. Cream butter, add sugar and beaat until mixture is frothy and creany. Add 1/2 cup chopped, balnched almonds. Add sifted flour, not too much, just to make dough soft. This will be approx 4-5 cups. Shape as desired. I make small walnut sized shapes. Place whole clove in center to bake (remove after baking). Bake on ungreased pans in 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Place on cooling rack and dust with confectioners sugar right away.
  2. I often add a bit of cinn or cloves to the dough to give a slight flavor.
