ingredients
- 1 cup margarine, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 4 cups Rice Krispies
directions
- Cream margarine and sugar in mixer bowl til light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and eggs.
- Beat for 5 minutes.
- Sift flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into mixture.
- Mix well.
- Stir in chocolate chips and Rice Krispies.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto non-stick cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°F for 9-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack.

These cookies were very unique and delicious! I had a hard time getting all the rice krispies and chocolate chips to stick to the dough, but they still turned out great. I used "Choconilla" rice krispies which added a little more flavor. They tasted awesome straight out of the oven as well as the day after. Made LOTS of cookies, great for a crowd. Thanks for posting this tasty recipe!

I did not rate this very high. While the first batch I burned and the second was a bit undone, I did not think it was all that tasty. They semed to get brown too quick- before they were cooked through. I love chocolate but did not like the choc chips in this recipe. But I loved the chewyness. I doubt I will try this recipe again.
