- 2 quarts beef broth
- 6 carrots
- 5 onions
- 5 lbs cooked lamb
- 1 teaspoon hot curry powder
- 1 glass red wine
- 1⁄2 cup white flour
- 1⁄2 cup corn oil
directions
- heat beef broth to simmering boil then reduce to simmer.
- remove scum from broth.
- chop carrots fine and add to broth.
- sautue onion rings in corn oil until brown add to pot.
- add the cooked lamb and the curry powder and red wine to pot.
- bring to boil then reduce to simmer
- let simmer 3 hours.
- near end of cooking add flour and mix to thicken stew serve hot.
