Classic Italian Sausage Lasagna

"NO cottage cheese! NO ricotta cheese! Mozzarella ONLY. Thanks to my aunt for finding this recipe. No one in the family is fond of cottage or ricotta cheese so this recipe is definitely a favorite! I prefer ground beef to Italian sausage. I also use shredded mozzarella cheese instead of sliced. And although the recipe calls for boiling water, I usually don't bother boiling it first. (I only have one pot! LOL!)"

  1. My son prefers no ricotta so I tried this recipe. Very easy to do. I did not cook pasta so I added another cup of water to the sauce and cooked a little longer. It is very tasty and not complicated at all. Will definitely do this one again.

  2. Very simple recipe. Taste like home made should. I tried the Italian seasoning first but I do prefer the oregano over the two. Didn't cook the pasta but added an additional cup of water before throwing it in the oven. Don't skimp on the cheese or you'll know it. Family loves it.

  4. I am allergic to milk products and this I was able to use rice mozzarella cheese. It was absolutely delicious and now a family favorite. I highly recommend this recipe. And I didn't boil the water, either. :-)

  5. I used my own sauce that I make and always have on hand in the freezer. Excellent recipe. will make again and again. Recently made my own lasagna noodles, and it really made a difference.

  1. This was so easy, and really good. I'm not a big fan of ricotta, and this recipe seemed too simple to be really good, but it was, everybody loved it. I used shredded mozzarella instead of sliced, and added a little bit of parmesan to the sauce. I didn't boil the noodles first, just added about a cup of extra water before cooking so they'd cook while the lasagne was baking. Thanks, will definitely make again!

The pics are of my favorite band, Night Ranger. All pics of me were too large for the site...sorry! But since nranger7 is my name, it kinda fits to have a pic of them! I enjoy baking in my spare time. My coworkers love me because I regularly bring them cookies. I recently started dabbling in baking pies too. I've been told I should bake for a living, but I'm sure it wouldn't be as fun if I HAD to do it all the time! :)
