  • In sauté pan with lid, sauté onion in oil. Add beef and garlic and cook till brown.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water and spices. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
  • Cook noodles with 1 T of olive oil. Drain, rinse and drain.
  • Arrange half noodles in casserole criss cross, then half of sauce. Then half ricotta and half of mozzarella.
  • Repeat layering and top with Parmesan.
  • Bake uncovered in 350* oven for 30-40 minutes.
