  • In a slow cooker, layer the drained kraut with sliced cabbage, onion and apples.
  • Sprinkle each layer with caraway seeds and sugars.
  • Pour bacon drippings over the top.
  • Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (on high for 3 hours).
  • Stir well before serving with roast pork and potatoes.
