  1. I tried these today (am doing a low carb diet) and really enjoyed them. The nutmeg flavor stood out the most, and next time I might add some dry mustard. These were so awesome with yellow mustard to dip them into though! Thanks MizzNezz! :)

  2. *****Plus 5 stars for inspiring me to make my own sausage! I used ground turkey instead of pork and used the lower amount of sage and red pepper flakes. I also added some cumin for a smokey flavor and about 2/3 cup of grated apple. I made my patties very small and thin. Great recipe!

  3. Should Be 6 Stars

  4. I never knew it was so easy! These patties came out darned near perfect....a spice seemed to be missing that I could not put my finger on hence the 4 stars! My DD ate 4 patties which is a record for her AND asked me to make them again. I know next time I think I will use coarse ground pepper and play around to see which spice makes this perfection! Easy to make and FAR less greasy than store bought! A winner for sure!

  5. This is a great recipe for anyone on a low carb diet, because most store-bought patties have some form of sugar in them. The patties are so easy to put together, and smelled so good when frying. I crumbled the leftovers to use in other recipes, worked well!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
