  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Add lemon and vanilla extracts along with the eggs.
  • Add flour and baking powder, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the nuts and raisins by hand.
  • Bake in 3 large loaf pans at 350 for 50-55 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
