  1. In a medium saucepan mix together sugar and cornstarch .
  2. Whisk in the milk .
  3. When smooth whisk in the yolks and blend well .
  4. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until a thick custard forms .
  5. Don't let it come to a boil .
  6. Stir in the sour cream, butter, lemon peel and juice .
  7. Cool and pour into the pie shell.
  8. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours , up to 2 days .
