  • In a small sauce pan bring water and sugar to a boil.
  • Add grated lemon rind and continue to boil for about 5 minutes or until it becomes like syrup.
  • Place in a small bottle or other container and refrigerate. It keeps up to 3 weeks.

  1. I made this to use as called for, in your Recipe #127631, but I don't really know why it was needed, instead of just grated lemon zest, without the added sugar. Perhaps this is supposed to be lemon rind STRIPS, sliced not grated, cooked to soften them?
