- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 (14 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14 ounce) can whole white beans or (14 ounce) can kidney beans, drained.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- taco seasoning (I use Old ElPaso brand)
directions
- Sautee the onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the beef and brown it.
- Add tomato sauce, taco seasoning (to taste), and beans.
- Let simmer for a few minutes.
- Taste, and add more taco seasoning if needed.

This is an AWESOME quick supper for folks on the run! I had this made and in tortillas in a matter of about 15 minutes! It was delicious, my kids begged for 2nds! I added black beans because it's all I had, Rotel for crushed tomatoes (added heat!), and fresh cilantro! You gotta give this recipe a try! (I used high fiber tortillas, incredible!).

I grew up watching my mom cook. Now, my mom is one of those people who can't actually follow a recipe - she always ALWAYS modifies things to her own tastes, and usually makes them better.
Both my brother and I have developed a love of food through my mom. While I am just a chef-for-fun, my brother is actually studying to get his culinary arts degree! I'm proud to say I've taught him a thing or two about cooking along the way... and I'm even more proud that now he's turned around and started teaching me things.
