  1. Wow! I found clear, unscented glycering on sale for 49 cents per bar and used three bars, 1 gallon of water and 6 tablespoons of glycerine. I filled up all our soap dispensers and added vanilla for all the girls bathrooms....wonderful! so inexpensive...and no chemical additives. I will never buy liquid soap again. Thanks for the fantabulous recipe!

  2. This worked out well and I had low expectations. I used Sappo Hill vegan soap with a lavender scent. Total cost was approximately thirty five cents. Mixture simmered on low heat for about 40 minutes. The soap will thicken up a little as it cools. Thank you. I have been searching all over for a long time for an easy and effective liquid soap to use in our soap dispensers.

  3. This turned out really well! I used one small bar of Ivory soap, which produced just less than 1 cup of gratings. I used about 30 oz. of water, and the full 2 tablespoons of glycerin. I also added 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil and about 1/2 tsp of a flavor extract I use for baking, called Fiori di Sicilia, which is a mixture of citrus and vanilla. The resulting gel soap is thick, sudses well, and smells heavenly. If I were to purchase this at a "body" store it would have undoubtedly cost over $20, and I made it for about $1.50. Thanks, Charishma!

  4. Cool!
