Lisa's Swirled Chocolate Chip Cookies

"This is a chocolate chip cookie recipe that my friend DeLynn's best friend gave to us. This is the recipe I use for normal chocolate chip cookies, but I've recently been making them with Nestlé's new White & Milk Chocolate Swirled chips. This is a yummy soft and delicious cookie!"

  1. Good cookies! I made exactly as directed, except with only 2 cups chocolate chips. I did discover that at 350, the cookies needed to be taken out of the oven while just beginning to brown at the edges- they the are perfect when cooled. At 325, they spread out much more and I got a thinner cookie. Perfect choc. chip recipe, and makes a good amount of large cookies. I got maybe 6 dozen 4inch cookies?

  2. I may have found a new chocolate chip cookie recipe! I like chocolate chip cookies that are on the thinner less cakey side so these were perfect for me. This recipe made 42 for me, although I think it could have made 45-48 since I made some of them large. I also made a few soft and left a few longer so I could have some crispy cookies too. My changes to the recipe were: used 1/4 cup less white sugar and 1/4 cup less brown sugar and I used semisweet Ghiradelli chips in the mix and topped the cookies with milk chocolate Ghiradelli chips.

  3. My new favorite chocolate chip recipe! Made them several times with swirled and regular chips! I love the texture and they have the perfect amount of salt! They looked dry coming out of the oven but the center is moist and chewy! Everyone requests them now!

  4. These are such amazing cookies! I like mine with milk chocolate chips and m&m's. These cookies are great because they're not light and cakey, they have the perfect texture and amount of sweetness!

  5. These cookies are fantastic...I only used white choc. chips. Mine turned out a little thicker than my family likes so I will need to find a way to thin them out next time.

Tweaks

  1. I found this recipe when my 4yr old son said he wanted to make chocolate chip cookies and I couldn't find my old recipe. These were great! I made a half batch using a previous suggestion of 1/2c sugar and 3/4c brown sugar. I also subbed 1/4 c applesauce for the butter and 1/2c whole wheat flour for white flour. Next time I'll make a full batch as I don't think they'll stick around long!

  2. Perfect texture!!! I couldn't get to my usual chocolate chip cookie recipe since moving, so I looked for a highly rated one on here and found this one. The texture of these are exactly like m other ones, which I love, and while they taste really good, theres something about the flavour that isn't quite as good as my other recipe (thats the one star loss). I did make these with chunks of dark chocolate instead of chocolate chips though, very yummy!

  3. Really, there's nothing to add to the reviews for this recipe. It was great. The cookies are a bit crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I used a convection oven at 305 to 310 degrees for 9 minutes and It was just about right on. I changed the recipe a bit because of the ingredients that we had on hand. I used three eggs instead of two, used 1 1/2 cups brown sugar plus 1 cup granulated, increased the vanilla to one tablespoon to account for the extra brown sugar. I also added in all the chips to the dough because I didn't read the directions well, but it came out perfectly!

  4. Wonderful Cookies!! I had to substitute the chocolate chips with m&ms, for the lack of chocolate chips in Germany. All my friends loved them and are always asking me to make more :D
