“This recipe came from my brother while he was traveling the country. He'd travel with a group of people who referred to themselves as lizards. (Why did they call themselves lizards? I don't know. I think because they liked the heat, just like lizards.) Anyway, they'd make large amounts of this Special Brew whenever they passed through town and barter a half gallon of this with other traveling hippie-type people for whatever supplies they needed. Every time he passed through a place he'd been before, people would always ask for the recipe but he kept it a secret. that way, if they wanted any more, they'd have to buy it from him. He told me how to make it. Here it is. I've always used Cranberry Flavored herbal tea-bags, but any fruit-flavored herbal tea would be just as good.”

Directions

  1. Bring the Cider to a boil.
  2. Fill a Half-Gallon (2-quart) pitcher with ice.
  3. When Cider reaches boiling point, pour into pitcher over ice and 3 Herbal Tea-Bags.
  4. Chill for an hour or two.
  5. Serve and Enjoy.
