Directions

  1. In a heavy dutch oven, melt butter.
  2. Stir in flour, heat until smooth.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened.
  4. Add potatoes and onions, bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add bacon cheese, sour cream and seasonings
  7. Stir until cheese is melted.
  8. If you like you can add bacon, sour cream and green onions as a topping.
