  • Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce liquid to about one cup. Separate solids from liquid. Base can be frozen for up to 6 months. Cooking time will vary as will servings depending on recipe and how the base is used.

  1. This was really good. I was making lobster bisque, which called for lobster base. I boiled 4 tail shells in about 3/4 of the water recommended for 1 hour. Did everything else as written in the recipe. Turned out great!
     
  2. Smells divine! Easy! I hate to throw anything away so this was a great way to put those shells to use! Froze the broth and have not used it yet but I did taste it for seasoning and it was tasty!
