Lolita's Heirloom Eggnog

ingredients
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 8 cups half-and-half
- 1 vanilla bean, Split in half to release seeds
- 6 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons fresh nutmeg
- 6 tablespoons Bacardi dark rum
- 1 tablespoon brandy (E & J)
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- Southern Comfort (Jack Daniels is too strong)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice
directions
- Combine all ingredients in the pot. Stir until well combined. On medium- low flame, Cook Eggnog, and stir with a whisk, while on the stove for 15minutes. Until Yellow and thickened up, until light steam, is coming from the pot. Turn off flame, and cover pot, and let stand for 10 minutes. RE-WHISK, before you transfer to punch bowl. Serve with Fresh Whipped Cream,and light dusting of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings. ( AND A CANDY CANE) Do not use nutmeg, since it's added in the drink.
