  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 quarts cream
  • 4 -8 cups your favorite alcohol (liquor, liquer or mixture)
  • nutmeg, if desired (optional)

  • Separate eggs.
  • Beat egg yolks & sugar until thoroughly mixed.
  • Slowly add 2 cups of your alcohol preference to egg-sugar mixture until mixed.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 1 hour.
  • Add cream.
  • Add remaining alcohol mixture to taste.
  • Let chill.
  • Before serving beat eggs whites until soft peaks form and fold into eggnog (or you can beat whites immediately after adding remaining alcohol & add to eggnog and let chill, but this will make it very thick).
  • Sprinkle nutmeg over eggnog if desired.
