"Adding a little bit of garlic powder to the dough will give you a Red Lobster-like biscuit. If you don't feel like rolling them out, these can also be drop biscuits."

  1. I was worried about the taste of the soy flour coming through, as another reviewer mentioned. I added just under a teaspoon of garlic powder, a couple teaspoons of chili flakes, and topped the biscuits with extra shredded cheese before baking. I formed the dough into ~10 small balls and flattened them. The dough was very sticky and I was concerned it would stick to the parchment paper, but that wasn't a problem. I found 12-13 minutes in the oven was perfect. I didn't notice a soy flour taste and quite enjoyed them!

  2. I guess maybe it was the soy flour...will try again with almond flour, but I couldnt get past the soy texture and taste. I even added garlic to recipe and could still taste soy. Its me Im sure, not the recipe....but for those who dont like soy...try with almond flour first

  3. I've been trying various recipes for two friends on the Atkins diet. This was a big hit (even I liked them and I'm not on Atkins). I added a bit of garlic and cumin, and because I didn't want to roll the dough out on a floury board, I rolled it by hand into little balls and baked them on a silpat. They were great--disappeared very quickly. Some were eaten with some sourcream and hot sauce, some plain. The dieters adored them. Thanks, Mercy!

  4. Delicious! When out of the oven I poured melted butter that had garlic powder in it. Yummy!
